Ndima YaMai Production
Co-director/Co-choreographer - Rujeko Dumbutshena and Soukaina Marie-Laure Edom In Chivanhu culture, Ndima can refer to part of a woman’s land inheritance. It is a Zimbabwean woman’s birthright. This performance ritual acts as an invocation that reconnects us to the land, to our rituals and to each other. We would like it to serve as a reclamation of a Zimbabwean women’s inherited power and liberation. We use Ndima YaMai to confront obstacles and challenges, to heal from them in order to strengthen and liberate ourselves. Videographer - Tatenda Kanengoni Reel Editor - Darius Brown
